One of the best winter resorts of Northern Europe. Geilo is located about 3 hours by train from Bergen and about 3 1/2 hours from Oslo. Geilo, at 800 metres above sea level, offers a unique variety of experiences and activities. The ski resort of Geilo provides direct access to 28 km of downhill skiing, with 39 different runs served by 18 ski lifts.From Geilo you can access 220km of well-prepared and well-marked cross-country tracks, including 5km which is flood-lit for those who like nordic skiing in the evening. Geilo is a paradise for kite-skiing, and are known as one of the best locations in the world to practice kite-skiing. Geilo has 3 snow parks, and the biggest superpipe in Norway.

Ski resort close to Lillehammer, Norway. Hosted the Olympics in 1994.The Norwegian ski resort of Hafjell / Lillehammer has direct access to 33km of downhill skiing, with 28 individual pistes, served by 12 ski lifts. Max vertical - 830m, highest lift - 1030m. 300 km cross country trails.

The highest alpine point in Scandinavia. It is located about 2km (just over a mile) from Hemsedal village, although you can stay slopeside and all the way along the road from the resort to the slopes. The skiing area stretches from an altitude of 625 to 1920m. The Norwegian ski resort of Hemsedal has direct access to 36km of downhill skiing, with 29 individual pistes, served by 14 ski lifts. Hemsedal is one of the world"s best snowboarding destinations thanks to its combination of an open minded approach to winter sports and its exceptionally good snowboard park - one of the best in Europe. Hemsedal is very snow-secure from November to May.

The Norwegian ski resort of Trysil is one of the larger Ski Resorts in Norway and has direct access to 65km of downhill skiing, with 64 individual pistes, served by 26 ski lifts. Trysil"l northerly location and 1132m altitude creates a snow sure ski destination. Trysil"s Fun Park offers, big hits, fun boxes, rails and 2 half pipes. A separate area for those new to the park has a small pipe and jumps. Boarders should be aware that drag lifts dominate the lift system. Trysil offers 90km of cut cross country tracks within a varied environment. All levels of ability are catered for.

Ski resort Tryvann Winter Park situated only 30 minutes from Oslo. Here you find 14 runs and 7 ski lifts, including 2 4-seat chairlifts. The longest run is 1400m long, and has a drop of 381m. Tryvann has a designated area for children and beginners, challenging runs, a large snowpark with a high quality halfpipe of international standards, a boardercross run and slopes for cruising. All runs are floodlit for night skiing. Advanced snowmaking facilities and an altitude of 531m ensures that the normal season lasts from December to medio April.
