Berchtesgaden

The region of Berchtesgaden lies right on the border to Austria and is Germany’s most southeasterly ski resort. Altitude 600 - 1800 m, 57 km of slopes, cross-country ski runs 73.5 km. The region of Berchtesgaden is known for its slopes suitable for world cups and for being a location of world championships in bobsleighing, tobogganing and snowboarding.

Brauneck (Lenggries)

With its 18 mountain cableways and lifts, 34 km of slopes catering to all abilities and cosy huts, the winter sports resort of Brauneck, which lies a mere 60 km south of Munich, is a “ski eldorado” for the whole family. The traditional ski resort is situated near Lenggries, a typically Upper Bavarian village on the river Isar, which rises nearby. Resort altitude 700 m, downhill pistes - 100 km, ski lifts - 8.

Feldberg

This resort in Disney Skiing is great for families and beginners. There are 50 km of pistes winding through the Black Forest Mountains. There are a range of runs including blacks with the longest at 3km. There is also a snow park. The 26 km of skiing at Feldberg is provided throughout the nearby villages. The ski pass covers the whole area. Garmisch - Partenkirchen

Situated 97kms southwest of Munich at the base of the Zugspitze, the country’s highest mountain (2,963m), is the Olympic city of Garmisch – Partenkirchen, the best and most famous ski resort in Germany. There are 60kms of marked ski runs over 44 slopes at Garmisch – Partenkirchen, with a longest run of seven kilometres. Beginners get almost half of all slopes, while intermediate and advanced skiers get perfect terrain. Around 33,000 skiers per hour are transported by one cogwheel train, four cable cars, two gondolas, six chairlifts, and 23 surface lifts, making up the 36 lifts at the resort.

Mittenwald

Ski resort Mittenwald - Karwendel. This small Bavarian village is the highest located resort in the German Alps at 912 meters above sea level. If youre looking for some easy skiing you should try the ski center of Kranzberg with a chair lift and several T- bar lifts. The resort offers you 9 lifts and a total of 16 kilometers of ski runs.

Oberammergau

Oberammergau is popular ski resort and is located 95kms southwest of Munich and 20kms north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The resort has good beginner and intermediate pistes, scenic surroundings and excellent cross-country skiing. This resort is also popular with families, who come here to enjoy the well-maintained beginner runs, the first-rate ski school and good childcare facilities. Oberammergau town is a year round holiday destination, providing a full range of shops, visitor amenities and recreational opportunities.

Oberstdorf

Oberstdorf ski resort is conveniently located between Munich, Stuttgart and Lake Constance and rivals Garmisch-Partenkirchen as the top ski resort in Germany. Oberstdorf town (815m) is compact and convenient, with much of the centre being semi-pedestrianised. There are 38 pisted runs at Oberstdorf ski resort, mainly suited to intermediate skiers, but with some quality beginner and expert slopes also. There are 44kms of slopes with a longest run of 7.5kms. Twenty-six ski lifts, including two gondolas, five cable-cars, eight chairlifts, and 11 T-bars, have a capacity for 31,000 skiers per hour.
