El Colorado

El Colorado ski resort is located within the metropolitan region, at scarce 39 kilometers from the city of Santiago and it is part, together with the adjacent resorts of La Parva and Valle Nevado, of the largest and best "skiable" surface in America del Sur. With a maximum height of 3,333 meters over sea level and a 903-meter vertical drop. The 22 runs of the resort, which are accessed through 18 lifts, allow visitors to enjoy skiing and snowboarding with a good snow quality. Season: from mid-June to October.

Portillo

Portillo located 164 km (90 miles) northeast of Santiago. Over the past 50 years, Portillo has gained a reputation as an excellent destination for skiers and boarders. Top elevation: 3322 m, total runs: 34, longest run: 6,6 km.

Valle Nevado

Valle Nevado is located only 60 kilometers from Santiago 3 025 meters over sea level and distributed into 37 kilometers of ski runs. This mountain resort together with El Colorado and La Parva, is part of the area known as "the tree valleys of the Andes". Season: Starting June 17 through October 9. High season from July 8 through July 28. Elevation: 2,880m (9,450ft) to 3,670m (12,040ft), vertical vrop: 790m (2,590ft), inbound ierrain: 21 runs, lifts: 9. If you want the chance to fly, Valle Nevado offers Heliskiing on the nearby peaks.
