Bansko

Bansko (Map of town Bansko) ski resort is situated in South-Western Bulgaria at the foot hills of one of the beautiful Bulgarian mountains- Pirin. The Pirin mountain is a natural preserve included in the World Natural Heritage list. The skiing conditions in Bansko are excellent. The Pirin mountain has a predominantly Alpine character with 2 peaks towering above 2900 m. Highest skiing area: 2500 m, longest run: 2.6 km, cross country: 5km, total slope length: 14km, number of lifts: 1 chair, 3 drag, 5 baby drags, altitude of the resort: 925 m.

Borovets

Borovets is the biggest international mountain resort in Bulgaria. It is located at 1350m above sea level (with highest pistes at 2600 m), on the Northern slopes of Rila mountain among age-old pine woods, at the foot of Mousala peak (2925 m) - the highest one on the Balkan peninsula. Borovets is easily accessible, being at a distance of 70 km from Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria). Resort base altitude: 1300 m, highest skiing point: 2560 m, marked ski runs: 58 km, longest run: 12 km, cross-country runs: 35 km, biathlon and ski jumping facilities. Lifts : 1 six-seat Gondola lift, 2 High Speed Quad Chair lifts, 1 Fixed Grip Quad Chair lift, 10 Surface ski lifts.

Pamporovo

Pamporovo is a modern ski resort in the heart of the Rhodopi mountain and is the most southern skiing resort in Europe. It is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort with wonderful snow throughout the whole season. The gentle profile of the mountain with its rounded slopes and summits makes Pamporovo particularly suitable for beginners. But there are also difficult ski runs like the Giant Slalom run which is an excellent exercise for every skiing expert. Vertical Drop: 302m, highest skiing area: 1926 m, longest run: 3.8 km, number of slopes: 25, total slope length: 25km, number of lifts: 18.

Vitosha

Vitosha is the mountain situated right next to the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. There is good transportation (frequent) - by bus or ski-lift. Trails (Pistes): 6, summit: 2289 m, vertical drop: 640 m.
