Kitzbuhel

"The resort of Kitzbuhel lies in an extremely advantageously placed, sheltered north-westerly position, which means that snow is guaranteed from December to April – right down into the valley. The layer of grass, which extends as far as 2,000 m above sea level, means that even relatively small amounts of snow suffice for uninterrupted skiing and snowboarding – long-term. Resort altitude (metres): 760m, number of lifts: 60, highest lift : 1995m, lowest lift : 787m, number of slopes: 70, beginner slopes: 50%, intermediate slopes: 42%, expert slopes: 8%, snowboarding park, cross country : 40km. Kitzbuhel""s “ski safari“ has taken on an entirely new dimension since the 3S cable car system was opened between the ski areas of Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg/Resterhohe. Since then, it has become possible to ski across the entire area, from Aschau to Pass Thurn in both directions, without having to depend on return transport via a free shuttle bus. Ski Season: December to March."
